Tiddles

Tiddles gave birth to 5 kits on the 15th September, unfortunatly she was not a very good mother and uncovered them so they got cold and passed away. I will not be having anymore litters now until next year to give my bunnies a much needed rest!

impulse buy

I just bought myself the most beautiful himi doe in the netherlands, and I have reserved another doe, the breeder knew how to look after his rabbits and they were all enjoying the sunshine when I arrived. He had several babies that I liked but I only took one away for now as the others are not quite old enough. I've also been in contact with Dee at angelbunnystud and she has a litter of nethys that are 3.5 weeks old so will be having a look at them soon. I decided to put Tom and Tiddles together to try to get my choc points or choc butterflies such hard colours to come by!:D

People can be so cruel!

I was very distressed this weekend as I went to get my 2 new nethys, the owner couldn't have given a damn about what they were living in or their health he had hundres of rabbits, all the does had babies some rabbits didn't even have cages only cat boxes I have called the RSPCA but I broke my rule and the RSPCA's and I bought 2 and they are now at home in nice comfy hutches with fresh hay and clean bedding, they are no good for breeding to show standards and they are probably not pure but I had to rescue a couple at least, I will see how they come on it may just be they need building up and their condition improved, the doe is having eye drops at the moment and could need an injection as she appears to have a cold but I will keep you posted!

On a brighter note The lionhead kits are all coming along really well and have had some interest from a couple who breed themselves, and to my delight he does mini lops himis which is what I have been after since I started!

time flies......

oh dear it has been a long time since I wrote on here!

I made a decision to take a step back with the lionheads but my sister has taken them on and is now producing some beautiful bunnies we are still concentrating on seal point, choc point.

I have rehomed alot of my minis but still have Tiddles and Tom to breed from hopefully next year.  I have also decided that I want to try and breed netherland and my partner is buying 2 for me for my birthday yay!:D

bonding

Well I've decided to bond a few bunnies that I am not breeding with, I have bonded Goshia and the black doe together and they seem very happy, I put them in the play shed and they now snuggle up together in the hutch so looks to be a success, hopefully my sister will be taking these girls on for her children.

I am due to pick up a new seal point buck on Thursday, should already have him but the snow we had made it too difficult.

All the bunnies survived the snow and ice, thank goodness. Most were in the shed anyway but I still worry!!!

I think I have found a show on the 7th Feb for Benny but need to discuss it with my partner as he will have to drive me.

New Venture

Well christmas is over the new year has begun and I have changed a few rabbits. I now have a choc butterfly lionhead doe named Rose who came down from Essex. I have let Echo and his brother Fudge go to help Richard with his stock, he also took a doe with him who was a kit bred here last year. Rose is hopefully pregnant and due on the 20th January she was mated with a magpie which is a new venture for me.

I am also hoping to find a seal point buck mini lop, I have found a breeder just hope she lets me have one! Some of her bunnies have won 1sts and cc's in the show ring.

I have decided to bite the bullet and try Benny in a show and see how it goes just got to choose which show to put him in will keep you all posted

Bundles of Bunnies

I have not wrote on here for a while and as you can see I have bundles of baby bunnies!! unfortunatley (for me) none of them are quite up to scratch for the show ring so I will be selling them all. After careful deliberation I have decided to reduce my lionhead stock so have some adult bunnies looking for some new homes, all my adults are well handled and very loving!! if you think you may want to rehome any bunny please get in contact with me. If  you see a bunny that is not on the rehoming page that you are interested in please still contact me.

I am now on the look out  for a blue eyed white lionhead and minilop does and if anyone knows where I can get hold of a himalayan minilop doe or buck and a blue point lionhead or minilop prefer doe but will consider buck please let me know.

Moved In

Well we finally moved into our new home, it's been a long time coming and very stressful but we are in!

Only problem now is we only have one run!!!!

My partner is going to build me a whole series of runs but not befor he finishes the house (the ground floor still looks like a building site) but I'm coping and so are the bunnies.

I kept 2 kits from previous litters one is a gorgeous REW lionhead buck named Benny, and the other is a blue fawn mini lop doe called Hippo (she is my sons rabbit) I am hoping that Benny will do well in the show ring but is a bit on the small side at the moment so the BRC ring keeps falling off!!!!!

I'll try to update the website regularly again now that I have almost finished unpacking.

It's all go

Well it all happens at once!!!!!

Treacle has a gorgeous litter of 5 in the nest and at one stage she had fostered one of Diddy's kits as she was struggling

Today Triann gave birth to a single kit that sadly didn't make it so I decided seeing as Diddy was struggling that I would give a kit to Triann but so it wasn't alone I took the one I had given Treacle and gave these 2 blues to Triann they are now thriving!!!!

Blossom also gave birth today to 4 kits one I think will be a seal point, I am a bit concerned as she is sooo small and so are the kits but hopefully she will be okay.

Mimzy's litter are doing really well and I love watching them binkying around.

I moved the entire family to a larger hutch outside of the shed and they love it. I think there are 5 does and 3 bucks, they will be put on the for sale page at the weekend
